Gerald Meerschaert vs. Kyle Daukaus

MEERSCHAERT VS DAUKAUS

I wonder if Kyle's last win will be investigated as part of the fight fixing scandal, if not, it should be. He had absolutely no business beating Michel Pereira. Kyle is not very good but he is definitely good enough to beat Gerald Meerschart. Gerald is somehow a fan favorite and I can already see the “GM3 by sub” tickets all over this comment section. The problem is, to get a submission you need to get the fight to the ground and Gerald's takedowns just aren't good enough. Kyle should be able to out strike Gerald here and defend whatever subpar takedowns come his way. Even if he happens to slip on a banana peel and Geralds lands on top, his BJJ is good enough to not get subbed here. Dauakaus is the pick, but I hate that he can even be in the same room as these odds.

Gerald Meerschaert

Gerald Meershaert is a very good grappler who is always live for a submission. He is not great on his feet and people question his chin but he is tough and he won't quit on himself. He is an incredibly talented grappler but like so many others, he doesn't have very good offensive wrestling and even though he averages almost 2 takedowns per fight, he has a very low 30% takedown accuracy and hasn't taken anyone down in 3 fights. He is coming off the KO loss to Michal Oleksiejcuk

Kyle Daukaus

Kyle Daukas just made his long anticipated UFC comeback after 2 years on the regional scene and he did so in pretty spectacular fashion. Style wise he is an ok striker and a very good grappler with solid clinch work and ok boxing. While he is primarily a grappler, he only has a 25% takedown accuracy but an impressive 82% defense. He is very long and can use that well, but is chinny. He is coming off the 43 second KO win over Michel Pereira
