I think Axel Sola is the real deal, even if his Mason Jones loss didn’t age as well as it should have. We know he can strike, we know he can wrestle and we know he has dog in him. Fares will try to keep this technical but i think Axel’s ability to wrestle and dog it out will suit him well. Axel will be the pick but I don’t love the short notice turnaround from his last fight.

Fares Ziam

Fares Ziam is a long rangy striker who also works well in the clinch. He is a technical fighter who doesn’t take unnecessary risk. He picks his shots well and engages when he sees an opportunity. He takes his time on the outside and then uses over extensions to jump into the pocket. He is coming off the decision loss to Tom Nolan where he was a step behind in the striking

Axel Sola

Axel Sola is a young French prospect. He is a solid boxer with a clean jab. he has an interesting stance with low hands, but he throws incredibly hard and does a great job pumping a jab then mixing in heavy leg kicks. His take down defense is just ok, but if it fails him, he has solid enough submission defense to stay safe and work up. He has evolved his game and has offensive takedowns as well from a 2-3 year Dagastan trip. He’s coming off the submission win over Ismael Bonfim where he rocked him against the cage first.
