It’s easy to look at the green and red dots on Elves record and write him off. He is on a 3 fight skid and was KO’d. But those losses are to quality fighters, all 3 of the people who beat Elves would absolutely beat Josiah as well. So then we look at the wins, and unfortunately that doesn’t help with the prediction either because Elves hasn’t beaten anyone good and neither has Josiah. If i am looking at their skills, we have two decent wrestlers but one of them i know for a fact can be a dog and bomb away. I really do want to pick Josiah here and am slightly leaning that direction, but watching the tape i have to go with Elves. These odds are dead even for a reason, this is an impossible fight to pick, but I am going to pick the established guy, i just hate the layoff.

Elves Brener

Elves Brenner has a handful of underdog KOs in the UFC but he’s not a striker, he’s a grappler. He has a loose striking style where he is basically just buying time and avoiding being hit. His goal is typically to get you against the cage so he can work you to the ground. He will throw bombs in the pocket and he’s athletic enough to mix in kicks and spinning techniques. If he is able to get it to the ground, he’s very dangerous. He is coming off the fun back and forth loss to Esteban Ribovics where they landed a combined 240 significant strikes

Josiah Harrell

Josiah Harrell’s career has been a wild ride. Medical issues, regional relegation, multiple weight classes, then finally a UFC debut against a killer. He is a good fighter with solid skills. He is a wrestler from Ohio, high school not college, but he does have some solid takedowns and athleticism. He is a decent striker and a powerful wrestler, you will see all the clips of him shooting through the LFA cage door. When he takes shots, they are clean and powerful, but he spends a good amount of time striking and doesn’t panic wrestle. He is fast with his hands but can be hit. He is coming off the TKO loss to Jacobe Smith.
