Elijah Smith vs. Toshiomi Kazama

SMITH VS KAZAMA

It's not often that a prospect gets an easier fight the second time out than the first, but that is the case here. Elijah fought a tough and craft veteran in his UFC debut and now he is fighting a BJJ nerd that he should be able to out strike and out grapple. Elijah is the pick and I am very confident here.

Elijah Smith

Elijah Smith is the second ever son in a father son UFC combo and he fights like the child of fighter. He is a very good grappler with decent striking. His hands are fast and he has solid power. His takedowns are also very fast and he does a great job covering distance. On top he has solid control and even if someone works up, he usually has a shot right behind it. He has decent cardio, decent power and with a win here will be a real prospect. He is coming off the decision win over Vince Morales in his UFC debut.

Toshiomi Kazama

Toshiomi Kazama is a grappler who lets his hands go on the feet. His takedown defense can use some work but even when he is taken down he creates scrambles and starts working BJJ. He is a grapple first fighter and can be a bit chinny on the feet. He is coming off the submission win over Charlampos Grigoriou where even though he won, the takeaway as that he stinks and is a BJJ nerd.
