I like Bruno a lot and actually picked him in his UFC debt against Gregory. The problem is I think I am chasing that high again because i keep picking him and keep losing. While he has the power in his hands and the grappling to win at a high level, he never seems to put it together all at once. I’m going to pick Edmen here becaise I think he is the much better striker. He might struggle early with some of Bunno’s grappling, but even if he does, the Brunno likely gets tired, slows down and Edmen can take over. Edmen’s been improving in every fight while it seems Brunno has plateud. Edmen is the pick, but I’m undecided in how confident I am in that.

Edmen Shahbazyan

Edmen Shahbazyan is a very good striker who is well rounded and has impressive kicks. He can be taken down though because he is long and he plants his feet before throwing. His takedown defense is listed at at 66% and if he is taken down he can end up there for a while because his scrambles off his back aren’t the best. He has solid offensive wrestling though with 12 takedowns in the UFC. he is coming off the fight of the night loss to Brendan Allen

Brunno Ferreira

Bruno Ferreira is a very powerful striker who is light on his feet and constantly mixing up his attacks. He bounces on his toes which really helps him come in and out of the pocket. He can grapple as well with high level judo, powerful takedowns and slick, BJJ, but he is mostly a striker and only uses his grappling if he is in trouble or his opponents initiate it. His cardio can be an issue, especially if he is wreslting. He is coming off the decision loss to Ikram Aliskerov where he was taken down 5 times.
