This to me is actually the trickiest fight on the card to picks. Both guys are good, both guys are dangerous and both guys have been outworked in their losses. Diego Lopes has a ton of dog in him, as we saw in his Jean Silva fight, but he did freeze up in both his title shots and I don't know if that is because the moment was too big for him or he didn't like the pressure of Volk. Both of those things may be a factor here. This card is objectively tremendous and Steve Garcia not only pressures forward but has power and can threaten a takedown. It's tough because I think skill for skill Diego Lopes is better, but clearly Steve Garcia is more dangerous with 9 KO's at this level. I think Steve wlll win the striking exchanges but not get the KO which will work against him because that will force Diego to wrestle and on the ground Diego has incredible control and scrambles. I will slightly lean Diego here, but I do think Steve is one of the most live dog on this card and will place a WITD dec. no action.

Diego Lopes

Diego Lopes is a dangerous grappler who has added striking. While he doesn't have the best takedowns or takedown defense, his BJJ is very slick as are his hands. He is a well rounded guy who also likes to throw heavy powershots and chase finishes. His striking can get wild but he keeps things in combinations and likes to methodically work forward until he has the opportunity to uncork. He has no problem with a dog fight but is coming off a lackluster performance against Volkanovski.

Steve Garcia

Steve Garcia has made a name for himself with his boxing and is on an incredible 7 fight win streak with 6 KOs. He likes to come forward with big strikes that either put you away, or setup takedowns. His striking is very solid, he has nice movement, big power and decent speed. He is very unorthodox but isn't afraid to mix it up. He can however get himself into trouble by being too aggressive. He can grapple as well, but we haven't see much of it as of late because of his finishing abilities. He is very big for this weight class and his akward style makes him hard for people to read. He is coming off the first round KO win over David Onama.
