Every week i breakdown every fight and there’s always a few where I am surprised at the public side. For this fight I am not surprised that the public picked Santos, I am surprised that 88% of the public picked Santos. Bolaji can absolutely win this fight. Both guys get dropped so I don’t think theres a huge chin advantage but Bolaji is bigger, faster, more technical and hits harder. The issue for this matchup though is that Daniel Santos is more well rounded and has better cardio. So we either think Bolaji can get Santos out of there early, or that Santos will rally later. I am split right down the middle here, but am slightly leaning Santos because of durability.

Daniel Santos

Daniel Santos is an old school Chute Box style striker. He plots forward with very tight hands and explodes in the pocket. He doesn’t have the greatest chin in the world, but when he gets dropped, he recovers quickly like nothing happened. He has very good BJJ from bottom, but he can be taken down and even though his BJJ is good, its old school in that he will play in the guard off his back at times instead of using it to creates scrambles and working back up. He is coming off the TKO loss to Doo Ho Choi

Bolaji Oki

Bolaki Oki is a busy striker with a good jab and lots of power. He likes to pump the jab to set things up and then explode into combinations when he finds his openings. He has good takedown defense with a fast sprawl and a couple of takedowns of his own. He does tend to slow down as fights go on but remains dangerous to the bell. He is coming off the KO loss to Manoel Souza where he looked huge and utilized leg kicks before being dropped bad.
