Daniel Barez vs. Luis Gurule Pick, Prediction and Bets

BAREZ VS GURULE

Luis Gurule cannot seem to find his footing in the UFC and is a nice reminder that regional success doesn't always translate to the UFC. With that being said, he is better than his record and his UFC loses are all quality. This is closer to a coin flip fight than the 80% confidence that Tapology has on Barez. Style make fights and based off his last fight Daniel doesn't like pressure and Gurule is all pressure. I am going to slight lean Gurule here to get into Barez's face, back him and squeak out a close one.

Daniel Barez

Daniel Barez is a fireball who will set a pace from bell to bell. He has fast powerful boxing, slick BJJ and takedowns when he needs them. He trusts his BJJ and he has no problem chasing submissions to find the finish, he can lose position at times because of this, but almost everything he chases is close and scores well with the judges. His takedown defense isn't the best but he works on bottom and creates openings. He is coming off the submission loss to Andre Lima where he was moving from side to side but hated the pressure and took a beating.

Luis Gurule

Luis Gurule is a forward pressure striker who bounces around before leaping in and striking. He's aggressive both on the feet and on the ground with decent power. he's in good enough shape to push a face for 15 full minutes and never take a step backwards. He can grapple as well with solid top pressure and submissions but mostly looking for bully takedowns and then ground and pound. If he ends up being taken down he still has that gas tank to work up. He is coming off his third loss in a row, this time a decision to Alden Coria
