Dan pretty much got ran through in the Arman fight, but he didn't absorb a ton of damage. He took some shots and was subbed, but it wasn't a drag em out war. I expect him to be totally fine in this matchup even though its a somewhat quick turnaround. He has been pretty funny about the build up. He didn't talk about his skills, he didn't talk about how he would win, all he talked about was how tough he is and that BSD will be shocked when he realizes Dan has no regard for his own health and safety. that sounds like someone preparing to get the piss out beat out of em. The good news is, both of these guys are savages. We have seem them both absorb and deliver generational beatings. This has fight of the night written all over it. I am picking BSD here. His insane non-stop pressure combined with an ability to get it to the ground and an unwillingness to backup, should suit him well. Dan is always down for a fist, fight, but may also get taken down. BSD is the pick, but likely closer than these odds.
Dan Hooker
Dan Hooker is a very good striker with an enormous amount of heart. He is a long rangy kickboxer who uses his kicks well to manage distance. He's sharp and technical but can at times get sucked into fire fights. His takedown defense is solid at 77% but it did just fail him against Arman Tsarukyan. He is at the point of his career where he fighting for fun and checks and not necessarily to work to a title.
Benoit Saint-Denis
Benoit st. Denis is a strong wrestler with well timed shots and a ton of pressure on top. He has 11 fights in the UFC with 24 takedowns which is impressive considering 10 of those fights ended in under 10 minutes. When he gets it to the ground he has very good pressure and works to submissions well. He has a ton of power on his feet which makes him dangerous everywhere, but he can be hittable. He is all gas, no breaks and has no quit in him. He is coming off the insanely quick KO win over Beniel Dariush.
