Colby is solid and as we saw in his fight against Alexandre Toporia can be a bit of a dog. But there’s not enough dogs in the world to gut this one out. I can’t see him keeping this on the feet, I can’t see him getting it to the ground and i cant see him out striking Asaf here. I Think Asaf has a very dominant debut and unless there are some hidden cardio issues, i am not expecting it to be close. Asaf is the pick and I think you can find creative prop bets, like -3.5 points, to find even more value.

Colby Thicknesse

Colby Thicknesse is a pretty well rounded guy and notably one of Alex Volkanovski’s training partners. He is mostly a grappler who uses striking to close the distance and move to a clinch or the cage so he can work takedowns. His striking is very lose where he has low hands and bounces around. He can bring some power because of how he leaps in and throws heavy, but he is pretty wide and hittable. He is coming off the decision win over Vince Morales

Asaf Chopurov

Asaf Chopurov is a clean technical striker with very good wrestling. He is primarily a wrestler, but he doesn’t crotch sniff. He sets his shots up with his hands and has no problem keeping a fight on the feet. He is light on his toes and does a really good job walking you into his takedown attempts. He will sheet everything from hit and run doubles, to body lock slams. He’s a genuine prospect who went and insane 31-1 as an amateur.
