With a combined UFC record of 6-10-1 we have a fight that basically means nothing to this division. But that doesn't mean it won't be fun. Both Cody and Aoriqileng can get after it and I expect thats what we have here. I see a 29-28 decision or even a split with some solid back and forth. Cody will be the pick because I think he can sneak in takedowns to lock up rounds, but he's 38 and could fade as the fight goes on. No bets here, just enjoy a fun scrap.

Cody Gibson

Cody Gibson is a solid striker who uses his length well. He is very long and can be very busy in exchanges. He uses his length to setup strikes and defend takedowns. He has 14 takedowns in the UFC but is primarily a striker and if you do take him down you can have some success holding him there. He is coming off the submission loss to Da'Mon Blackshear where he won the first round and was seemingly on his way to an upset win.

Aoriqileng

Aoriqileng is a well rounded guy with incredible pressure and pace. He can fight a technical fight or get sucked into a brawl. He uses his striking to setup takedowns and he does have 7 takedowns in the UFC, but he is mostly a striker. He is coming off the decision loss to Raul Rosas Jr where he was taken down 3 times.
