Cody Garbrandt had what many feel was the single greatest performance against Dominick Reyes to win the Bantamweight title and it's almost impossible to talk about Cody Garbrandt without that coming up. But that was 10 years ago. 10. Since then he has been knocked out 4 times, submitted once and lost 7 times. To be 4-7 in the last 10 years and somehow still get big matchups is kinda crazy. Yanez should win this fight. At this point in their careers he's the better striker. He's faster, cleaner and has a better chin. Even if Cody decided to wrestle Yanez should have the takedown defense to keep it where he wants it. Yanez is the pick but not sure if we get a finish.

He can be a slow starter but when he picks up the pace and hits a flow state, he is one of the cleaner boxers in the division. He has 10 fights in the UFC with 5 fight of the night bonuses and 6 stoppage wins. He has great takedown defense at 81% and zero offensive takedowns so far in the UFC. He shines in technical exchanges and has very clean boxing. He is coming off what many feel was the robbery loss to Ricky Simon where he was taken down twice but dominated the striking and had him knocked out as the bell rang
