Cody Durden vs. Alessandro Costa Pick, Prediction and Bets

DURDEN VS COSTA

Cody was already on this card and was preparing for a dangerous striker in Ode Osbourne where Costa is stepping up on short notice after competing one month ago which was also a short notice step up.

This is a fight that I shouldn't over complicate, but I will. I'm going to pick Alessando Costa, but I am a bit worried about it. He's insanely dangerous and Cody is chinny. But Cody is also a dog and if he pushes forward, avoids the big shots, he can definitely have succes against a fading Costa who is stepping up on short notice. If you look at his 4 fight losing skid, he was having success in all of them. Early takedowns against Josh Van, early takedowns against Ochoa, striking success against Nascimento and solid back and forth with Nyam. Costa is notably as dangerous or more dangerous than all of them, but he also fades as the fight goes on and Cody only gains steam. To me this is either Costa early or Cody with a gritty decision. I am offcially going to pick Costa because you really cannot trust Cody's durability, but instead of moneyline i would lock in on a finish prop or even a WITD dec. no Action.

Cody Durden

Cody Durden is a pressure wrestler who averages almost 4 takedowns per fight. He likes to come forward, throw looping power shots and then look for those takedowns. He will chain wrestle and continue diving at legs until he gets it to the ground. While his wrestling can be non-stop pressure he doesn't have a lot of control on the ground and has a very suspect chin on the feet. He's coming off the career saving win over Jafel FIlho

Alessandro Costa

Alessandro Costa is a solid striker with pretty good takedown defense. His striking style is a high tight guard and patience. He will wait and find his spots. When he decides to throw, he throws with 100% intent and does a really nice job of small combinations. He will leap in with a left to the body then a right up top to the head. He has very real power and insane leg kicks. He is coming off the KO win over the very KO'able Matt Schnell
