Chris has built his career off being tougher than his opponents. He weathers a storm and takes over. That's easy when you are fighting Jordan Vucenic or when Bolaji Oki takes a bad shot. That's not easy when you are fighting a savage dog who has powerful hands and fantastic wrestling. The way Rebecki went to war with Myktybek is more than enough for me to know that he runs through Chris Duncan. I don't even think this is a close fight. Rebecki is the pick and these odds are a discount.
Chris Duncan
Chris Duncan is a heavy handed tough as nails striker who is never out of a fight. We have seen him on more than once occasion be dropped just to recover and win. Style wise he is an accurate striker with low hands, lots of power and a willingness to bang. He will grapple as well, he has 14 takedowns in 6 fights but can struggle with control. He is coming off the submission win over Jordan Vucenic where he landed a huge overhand early and nearly got the stoppage.
Mateusz Rebecki
Matesz Rebecki is also a relentless grappler who marches forward with giant 1-2 punches before he starts diving at legs. Even though he is a grappler, he will absolutely hang around for a striking match. Every single punch he throws is with intent and when he gets you to the ground he is looking for a finish. He can be a bit reckless leaving him open on the feet and giving his opponents space to work up on the ground. He has solid cardio considering his pace, but he can be a bit sloppy. He is coming off the absolute war with Mytybek Oralbai back in October.
