The UFC must love Chase because they are actually doing the appropriate thing here. They saw he was just knocked twice in a row and instead of saying screw him and throwing some young killer from the Contener Series at him, which they have been known to do with fighters on a losing skid, they decided to lower his level of competition and get him a fight he can win. Mitch is very tough, but doesn't have anywhere near the power that Chase's last two opponents had and without the possibility for a one punch KO, Mitch likely ends up on his back and in trouble most of this fight. What I won't do is say Mitch sucks because even though he hasn't had a win in the UFC he's had some really bad matchups and unfortunately for him, this is also a really bad matchup.

Chase Hooper

Chase Hooper is a very slick grappler with improving takedowns and striking. It wasn't long ago that his takedowns didn't exist and neither did his striking. But just a few years into his UFC career and he isn't quite the baby face anymore. He is pretty tall at 6'1 and filled out well for lightweight but doesn't have the natural power. What he lacks in athleticism and physicality, he makes up for with high fight IQ and dangerous BJJ. He coming off his second KO loss in a row, this time to Lance Gibson Jr.

Mitch Ramirez

Mitch Ramirez is a solid wrestler who has decent striking. He throws a ton of leg kicks and uses them to setup takedowns. When he gets it on the ground he is looking control more than a finish but does have plenty of power both on the feet and on top. Overall he touch as hell, a busy striker and not afraid to engage, but not very good. He s coming off the KO loss to Mike Davis
