Caio Borralho vs. Reinier de Ridder Pick, Prediction and Bets

BORRALHO VS DE RIDDER

I understand Caio didn't have a great performance in his last fight, but I do want to remind you that 10 minutes before his fight against Nassourdine, he watched Maurico Ruffy get subbed which I am 100% affected him physically and mentally. Did you see Caio's reaction to Ruffy winning at UFC 325? He watched that on TV and still went nuts. Now imagine all of that emotion in person just minutes before his fight. I have to imagine he was devastated and had a full adrenaline dump. So when watching that fight back, I am definitely adding a bit of handicap and thats coming from someone who said he was going to lose to begin with.

But as lackluster of a performance as Caio just had, no one's is worse than RDRs. He literally quit on the stool and the worst part is that it wasn't even his first time full quitting in a fight. RDR is massive and a very good grappler, but his striking is pretty bad. If he initiates the takedowns and gets Caio to the ground, I am actually pretty sure he can win, but I think Caio is too smart, too mobile and too good of a grappler to get brute forced to the ground and ridden out. Caio is going to be the pick here but you do need to factor in that this is 15 minutes and not 25 which favors RDR.

Caio Borralho

Caio Borralho is a very slick grappler with solid submissions and well timed takedowns. He has a long stance and very loose feet where he will bounce around and then he explode into double legs. He has belts in both Judo and Jiu Jitsu and uses all of those techniques in his fights. His striking is quickly improving but not good enough to abandon his roots. He is coming off the decision loss to Nassourdine Imavov where he went 0-5 in takedown attempts.

Reinier de Ridder

Reinier de Ridder is a former two division champion in One FC. He is a solid grappler with good takedowns and great submissions. He is a very tall guy for the division and uses that length well on the ground. He will bomb away on the feet and while it is not very clean, he has an insane jump in knee and everything he does is heavy. He is coming off the loss to Brendan Allen where he was broken down and quit on the stool.
