This is a really good matchup and a very fun fight. Brandon will be the more experienced and more durable fighter with better striking where Taira will be the much better grappler with the finishing upside. The only real issue for Taira here is that his takedowns already aren't very good and that combined with Moreno's movement will make it even harder to get takedowns. On the feet I have to assume Moreno's unorthodox movement and striking will be enough to squeek it out. I am 100% sure i will get hate for picking against Taira because for whatever reason people are obsessed with him, but I watched Alex Perez out strike him, I assume Moreno can do the same. Moreno is the pick and if you agree, comment the support for the pick, because the Taira nut riders will be plentiful.

Brandon Moreno

Brandon Moreno is the former flyweight champion of the world and one of the divisions best. He is an absolute dog and a ton of fun to watch. He is very tough, has a great chin, and puts on a nonstop pace. He averages almost 2 takedowns per fight and mixes things up well. His biggest asset is definitely his pace and his will to win. He will continue to come forward and stay busy regardless of whats happening. He is coming off the decision win over Steve Erceg.

Tatsuro Taira

Tatsuro Taira is only 25 years old but has solid experience and is a highly touted prospect. Style wise he is a patient striker with ok power in his hands and strong grappling. He does not have the best takedowns in the division but he will stick with them and drag you to the ground. He is coming off cycle win over Hyun Sung Park where he knocked him down,. took him down and submitted him.
