Welcome to the most interesting fight on the card. Peak Arnold Allen is a tough night out for anyone and closer to world champion level than he is to the prelims. The problem is I don't know if this will be peak Arnold Allen. He has had a litney of injuries these last few years and doesn't fight as well moving forward as he does backwards. Jean Silva will likely back him up and test his health immediately. But Jean Silva was just knocked out and finished for the first time in his career. Will that affect his fight style? Will he take his foot off the gas to prevent that from happening again? Thats what makes this is all so interesting. Arnold Allen will be the best striker that Jean Silva has fought, but I still think Silva wins. i thin his creativity combined with his pressure and Allen's layoff will work well for him.

Arnold Allen

Arnold Allen is a very good striker who loves coming forward. He has an upright stance which helps protect him when he is outside range, but then he comes lunging in with solid power. He has nice footwork and solid hand speed. He mixes in takedowns really well and has a few sneaky submissions. His takedown defense has evolved over the years and sits solidly at 75%. He is coming off the decision win over Giga Chikadze where he his activity was enough to get the nod.

Jean Silva

Jean Silva is a powerful striker who is loose and creative. The creativity is fun to watch but does get him into weird positions at times. He is interesting to watch because he will go from a tight guard to loose hands down but he does alternate between the two often enough to get people guessing. He gets very aggressive to find finishes, but as we saw in his Diego Lopes fight, sometimes too aggressive..
