Ceerod has yet to beat anyone who has more than 2 fights in the UFC. But here he is, a 2-1 favorite over a solid and battle tested Andre Fili. The problem though is that Andre is very unreliable. We don't know when he will grapple vs strike, we don't know if his chin will hold up or not. This is a tough pick for me because Andre is the more skilled fighter, but he's not a guy you can trust and CeeRod is gritty but struggles against well rounded experienced guys. I have to go with Andre here just given his actual raw skills. This should be a really fun fight that will determine quite a bit in the winner's career.
Andre Fili
Andre Fili is a very well rounded guy who has had plenty of hype in the past. He is unbelievably talented but his chin won't always be there and neither will his decision making. Style wise Andre is a very well rounded technical brawler with wrestling. He gets hit often which you can see with his negative striking differential and he relies on his chin a little too much. He has solid takedowns and averages over 2 per fight but those takedowns did fail him in his last fight when he was submitted on his entry.
Christian Rodriguez
Christian Rodriguez is a slick striker with solid movement and good speed. He has decent takedown defense at 69% but has been taken down 25 times so far in the UFC. He has established himself as the prospect killer of multipel divisions. He has 6 wins in the UFC and every single one of them was over a touted UFC prospect. His losses however are to more established fighters who don't get frozen by the bright lights. He is coming off the loss to Melk Costa where he had a wrestle heavy gameplan and took over late.
