Alexandre Pantoja vs. Kai Kara-France

PANTOJA VS KARA FRANCE

Before you animals tell me this is a rematch, I know. But their first fight was in 2016 on the ultimate fighter which isn't even a real fights. So I don't really put much stock into that fight. But I think the outcome will be exactly the same. Pantoja is tough, gritty and a bully. I think he can bully his way through the much smaller Kai Kara-France, get the takedowns and grind. This could look exactly like Pantoja's last fight when he fought another great striker. Great takedown, great control, great submission. Pantoja is the pick and these -260 odds are a treat.

Alexandre Pantoja

Alexandre Pantoja loves to walk forward and go to work. He has ok power and gives damage but he's mostly a fantastic grappler with good control and ground and pound. His striking is pretty formulaic and he doesn't take too many risks, but it's effective when combined with his power and pressure. He's incredibly durable and the only people who have really been able to beat him did it with wrestling and control. He is coming off his third title defense with a submission win over Kai Asakura.

Kai Kara-France

Kai Kara-France is a very good boxer with a ton of power and volume. He is technically sound and works really well inside and outside of the pocket. He has very solid takedown defense at 88%. He can be hesitant at times but when he does let his hands go, he looks good. He is faster than most people and he uses that speed to his advantage. He is coming off the lightening fast KO over the insanely overrated Steve Erceg.
