Alexandre Pantoja vs. Joshua Van

PANTOJA VS VAN

Listen, I am about to glaze Van right now. Not because I have a thing for asians but because he is really good. He isn't the cleanest striker in the division because he gets hit with almost 7 significant strikes per minute, but his offensive is impressive. He also has the composure of someone much more experienced than him and I do not suspect that the bright lights of a title fight will wear on him. I do however feel that the literal pressure from Pantoja will wear on him. If Cody Durden is taking you down, then Pantoja is taking you down and holding you down. Pantoja is a different level of dominant at this weight. Pantoja is the pick here, but I don't think this will be Van's last title shot.

Alexandre Pantoja

Alexandre Pantoja loves to walk forward and go to work. He has ok power and gives damage but he's mostly a fantastic grappler with good control and ground and pound. He's incredibly durable and the only people who have really been able to beat him did it with wrestling and control. He is coming off his fourth title defense win, this time over Kai Kara France where getting screaming at in his face did not deter him from getting 3 takedowns and a 3rd round submission win.

Joshua Van

Josh Van is a solid striker with aggression, volume and power. His takedown and scramble skills are decent and as he is only 24 years old, everything is improving from fight to fight. He is the new generation of fighter so even though he is primarily a striker, he is good everywhere and can grapple as well. His pocket striking is incredible but he does get hit a ton, the good news is though that he doesn't cut or bleed. He is coming off the insane win over Brandon Royval where they landed an incredible 419 significant strikes
