Casey O’Neill should win this fight. She is clean, technical and fast. The way she ran through Gabriella Fernandes, who mind you was larger and a former professional kickboxer, was impressive. Obviously if Eduarda can close the distance and make this ugly, she could have success. The footwork is likely the difference here and I do expect Casey to stay away. She is going to be the pick, but I don’t know if I love these odds because Eduarda’s wrestling might be a problem and she is a solid underdog.
Casey O’Neill
At her core Casey O’Neil is a Muay Thai striker. She has solid elbows, is very willing to brawl and gets into fire fights. She can wrestle as well with 8 takedowns in the UFC and a 70% takedown defense. She has incredible volume at almost 8 significant strikes landed per minute. She has good footwork solid power for the weight class. She is coming off the KO win over Gabriella Fernandes
Eduarda Moura
Eduarda Moura is a grappler with solid takedowns and submissions. She is aggressive with her grappling and wastes no time coming across the cage, initiating a takedown and working. Her striking is a bit sloppy but like so many others, it’s just there to setup the takedowns. She is coming off the decision loss to Cong Wang where she had 3 takedowns but lacked control.
