Jessie Rosas was supposed to fight Miles Johns as UFC Vegas 120. He pulled out the day before his fight because of a scratch on his head and then the UFC cut him. They fired him, he lost his roster spot and that was the end of it. Now here he is just a few weeks later, out of the unemployment line and getting a short notice opportunity.

Neither one of these guys are UFC level or at least don’t appear to be at this time. This is a contender series fight that has no business on a card like this. But it is, so I need to sit here and pick a winner. What’s a little tricky is that these guys fight the same way. Will throw a decent jab and then wrestle. Credential wise Sean the better wrestler and in theory, he should be able to dictate where the fight goes, but his takedown defense is lacking a bit. I’m still going pick him here literally because he’s the better wrestler, but no way can I bet on a fight like this.

Jessie Rosas

Jessie Rojas is Raul Rosas’ older brother and like his brother, he comes forward and looks to wrestle. He’s pretty comfortable striking with a nice long jab and forward pressure, but he doesn’t do it for very long. He is super early in his career and hasn’t fought anyone any good, but seems to be improving from fight to fight.

Sean King

Sean King is a well rounded prospect with a long jab and good wrestling. He is twitchy on the feet but will shoot if he gets pressured. His wrestling is solid with takedowns and throws, and his BJJ is decent as well. He wrestled his entire life all the way through college and takes those techniques with him into the cage. He is very early in his career and hasn’t had the toughest slate of completion so it’s hard to tell how good he is or is not.
