I’m a big Morgan guy and was shocked at how he was knocked out his last fight. When he is on, he looks like he can be a top 10 guy. Fast, powerful, scrappy, good wrestling, cardio, all of it. But he does seem to have lost a step. He isn’t quite as clean and as we just saw, as durable as he has been. Felipe Lima is very good and as long as his takedown defense holds up, he should showcase here. He doesn’t have the power to one punch Morgan, but he definitely has the volume and technique to do so. Felipe will be the pick but undecided how confident i actually am in that.
Morgan Charriere
Morgan Charriere is an explosive striker who is light on his feet and stalks his opponents before leaping into punches and working control. He does a very good job of being all the way in or all the way out of range. when he’s in he likes to tie up so he can work knees and control, when he’s out he will stalk you and then leap into his punches. He has solid takedown defense and a few takedowns of his own. He is very good everywhere with fantastic cardio. He is coming off the KO loss to Melk Costa.
Felipe Lima
Felipe is a well rounded guy who has creative striking and solid grappling. He will throw spinning jump kicks then shoot doubles that he will pick up over his head before slamming. He does a nice job transitioning between striking and grappling to keep his opponents on their toes. He doesn’t have much power but he sets and incredible pace and can break people. He is coming off the decision loss to Payton Talbott where he was scrappy and his striking was solid but started panic wrestling despite his corner’s pleas not to.
