This is trickier than it seems. Most people are immediately picking Daniil citing the striking and power, and while I do think Daniil wins, Punahele at Welterweight is no slouch. He has his own power and very good offensive wrestling that he has been using more of. Daniil already fades as fights go on and if he’s also defending takedowns that will only get worse. I am going to pick Daniil because he is such a good clean striker, but Punahele is a great dog here and I will love a 1.5 round line so we can hit the over.

Punahele Soriano

Punahele Soriano is a fluid striker who has tons of power and can put most people out on their feet. He was a D3 All American wrestler who despite his wrestling credentials has been taken down 21 times in his 11 UFC fights. He can be first round or bust at times, but he does retain his power later into fights. He has been doing well since his move down to welterweight is coming off his 4th win in a row, most recently a decision over Ramiz Brahimaj.

Daniil Donchenko

Daniil Donchenko is a nasty striker with clean technique and power. He does a great job chopping down the tree and firing clean rights. He is not super fast, but he hits hard and can mix up the grappling and striking very well. He is a violent fighter who is constantly looking for a finish but can fade as fights go on.
