This is not as clear as people will look to make it. Michael is the pick and should win, but Oban's recent skid is because he was taken down. That is not what Oliveira is looking to do. So we will have good striker vs good striker. Oliveira will look to come in with speed, power and volume while Oban will look to keep things at range and pick his shots. I do expect that the insane volume and pressure from Oliveira will be too much for Elliott to manage but I am unsure if he finds a finish. Maybe we get lucky with a 1.5 because the over seems solid.

Michael Oliveira

Michael Oliveira is an insanely fast and busy striker who loves to close the distance and then throw what feels like 200 strikes a minute. He backs people up and overwhelms them. He also has fantastic power so if he lands clean while throwing in volume, he can put you to sleep. He will get his occasional takedown but it is never his first plan. His takedown defense is just ok, but relatively untested in that department. He is coming off the quick contender series KO which earned him the call up.

Oban Elliott

Oban Elliott is a well rounded guy with 15 full minutes of cardio and plenty of tools in the bag. When striking he likes to dance around the outside and then fire off overhands to come in. He is fast and athletic with flashy spins and ok takedown defense. If he is taken down there are definitely some grappling holes and those holes were exploited in his last fight against Jonathan Micaleff where he was clearly the better striker but ultimately was taken down and submitted.
