Abubakar Vagaev is probably who people thought Saygid was. He is a fun striker and a nasty wrestler. Based off tape alone, Abubakar is the pick, but the problem is that everyone he has beaten is a bum. So I don't know if he looks like an absolute stud because he's fighting cab drivers or if he is actually that good of an MMA fighter. Given the fact hat Saygid gassed in his fight against Dalby, I went out of my way to keep an eye on the cardio of Abubakar and while he will slow down a bit, he is definitely a 15 minute guy and can keep a pace. So Abubakar is the pick and part of me wants to throw money on him while the other part thinks we need to see what happens here before buying in.

Abubakar Vagaev

Abubakar Vagaev is a very active wrestler who will bait you into a striking match and then immediately lower his level and shoot takedowns. When he gets you to the ground he is very active and actively looking for a TKO instead of submission. While he is a very good wrestler, it doesn't mean he can't strike. He does a great job using all of his tools on his feet and he throws with intent. He is a somewhat technical, but mostly volume and power.

Saygid Izagakhmaev

With one look at the beard you may think you know how Saygid Izagakhmaev fights, and while you will be partially correct, it is important to note that he is a very powerful striker. Of course with all beard and no stache he can wrestle, but what separates him from the pack is his calm pressure and explosive power. He walks forward methodically while blasting low kicks and looking for openings to throw his straight right. The wrestling is very effective with incredible control and damage on top. He is coming off the decision loss to Nicholas Dalby where he had 4 takedowns but gassed.
