Listen, Sam Patterson is not very good. We've known this for a while. I knew it when i picked Yanal Ashmouz to beat him and I knew this when I had MVP in the Safety Parlay. But for some reason, the hills have eyes people come out of the woods and start screaming that he is incredible. They are wrong. They however will leave happy this weekend but should win here. Sam stinks but he's good enough to beat a 40 year old who's been knocked out in of his last 3 losses. Sam is long and powerful enough to control the range and potentially even find a finish. Sam is the pick and while I don't love these odds, I'm sure he's fine.
Santiago Ponzinibbio
Santiago Ponzinibbio is a good striker who likes to stay out of the pocket. His striking is clean and he does a great job managing range. He has a handful of big KOs, but typically doesn't have a ton of raw power and uses volume and pressure. He doesn't have much in the way of grappling offense but does have a solid 71% takedown defense. He is coming off the late KO loss to Daniel Rodriguez where he was a step behind the entire fight.
Sam Patterson
Sam Patterson is a very tall and long striker. He is an insane 6'4 and while he does not use his length well striking, he does use it really well on the ground. On his feet he has accurate boxing and because he is so long can have some power as well. His takedown defense needs work but as I mentioned, he uses his length very well on the ground and is constantly wrapping something up and looking for a submission. He is coming off the decision loss to MVP where he couldn't handle the speed or range.
