Andrey was set up to fail in his last fight. He's a striker that they fed to Ateba assuming he would get knocked out immediately and they would have more highlight footage to push Ateba with. But that's not quite how it went down. Sure he lost, but he lost a gritty decision. We saw how insanely tough he is, how he doesn't wilt and how he can have success against other high level strikers. This matchup is very different than his last though. Where Ateba was an insanely dangerous striker, Nursulton is good everywhere and can be a threat both striking and grappling. I think Nursulton wins this and I do think he works in takedowns. I don't think we get a finish, but I trust Nursulton's cardio for an entire 15 minutes.
Nursulton Ruziboev
Nursulton Ruziboez is a wrestling and grappling beast who has been showcasing his hands in the UFC. We haven't seen much wrestling out of him in the Octagon, but on the regional scene he was a non stop wrestler who would get you to the ground any way that he needs to. On the ground he is very aggressive and always transitioning while looking for a finish. But on his feet he is a little more patient and calculated where he waits for openings then fires right hands down the middle. He is a massive 6'5 and carries that size well. He is coming off the cancelled fight against Bryan Battle because Bryan is a fat shit
Andrey Pulyaev
Andrey Pulyaev is a solid striker who takes his time and keeps things tight. He is very tall and uses his range well. He uses a jab more often than most but many times there is nothing behind it. He does a nice job working the body on the feet and transitioning to takedowns when he needs them. He is coming off the decision loss to Ateba Gautier where he showcased his toughness.
