When this fight was announced as Vinicius vs Giga Chikadze, I went to the bank, took out a second mortgage and used both my house and my kids as collateral. There wasn't a universe Giga was going to win that fight. But unfortunately for my children's college funds, that fight fell through and Andre Fili is stepping up on short notice. I am still going to pick Vinicius here because I think his pressure and pace, especially in a 3 round fight, will suit him well but I do have concerns with his takedown defense, especially considering Andre is coming off a great performance where he utilized his wresting. Vincius is the pick but I'm pretty sure I'm giving that loan back to the bank.

Andre Fili is a very well rounded guy who's chin won't always be there and neither will his decision making. Style wise Andre is a very well rounded technical brawler with wrestling. He gets hit often which you can see with his negative striking differential and he relies on his chin a little too much. He has solid takedowns and averages over 2 per fight and did just lean on them in his last fight where he had 4 in a close loss to Jose Delgado

Vinicius Oliveira is a fun guy who charges forward and throws everything at the wall looking for a finish. He is sloppy but dangerous. He's not just chaos on the feet through, he is also chaos on the ground. He will get to the ground and then donkey kong style rain down punches and hammer fists. He's winning fights with aggression, power and creativity. He is coming off the one sided main event loss to Mario Bautista where he was taken down 5 times.
