I accidentally saw the odds before doing to breakdown and was surprised to see what a huge favorite that Andre Lima is. I understand people think Borjas sucks, but he's losing to very good people, including the current world champion and most recently an insane prospect that he almost had knocked out. But then i do the tape study and while i still think Kevin is better than these odds, Andre is very good and should win here. He is a creative striker, he works leg kicks in well, has the speed and still threatens power. I think he is one step ahead almost everywhere and should be a pretty straight forward win.
Andre Lima
Andre Lima is 3x Braziilan National Champion kickboxer and does all the things you would expect someone of that caliber to do.He is clean, fast, powerful accurate, and mixes things up well. He is essentially a pure striker though with solid takedown and submission defense. If he does end up on the ground he has solid scrambles and a good get up game. He is coming off his first ever submission win over Daniel Barez.
Kevin Borjas
Imanol Rodriguez is a very fast and clean striker who has one punch KO power. The speed from his hands is impressive as are the combinations. He has an interesting stance where he protects his chin but is always leaning forward which removes any reach advantage he may have. His takedown defense is not great, but his get up game is. He will occasionally work in an offensive takedown but most times doesn't need to. He is coming off the finish loss to Imanol Rodriguez where he almost had him out in the first round.
