Jake Matthews vs. Carlston Harris Pick, Prediction and Bets

MATTHEWS VS HARRIS

I was at Carlston's last fight with Jacob at the Apex and when I tell you it was one of the worst knockouts I've ever seen live, I'm not exaggerating. He went out cold, his head slammed the canvas and he was laying there motionless for much longer than was comfortable and that was coming off the heels of another bad knockout in his fight before that one. Jake isn't exactly Mike Tyson but he certainly has the power to find a knockout and even if he doesn't, he is the better overall fighter. This line is moving and it makes sense to me. Jake is the pick and if you like him, bet him now because he will be -600 come fight night.

Jake Matthews

Jake Mathews is a well rounded guy withs solid wrestling, very good grappling and a nice variety of strikes. He works angles well and has no problem mixing up body shots and head shots. He averages a little more than 1 takedown per fight. He has a solid striking differential at 3-2 and very real power in his hands. He is coming off the ridiculous loss to Neil Magny where the ref stopped the fight in the first round because he thought Neil was out, but then let it continue and ultimately Jake was subbed in the 3rd.

Carlston Harris

Carlston Harris is a well rounded guy with pretty wild striking but he does have some power in there. He is a very slick opportunistic grappler as well. Meaning he will snatch up a Darce or even standing head and arm chokes when he sees an opening. His wrestling is solid as well, he doesn't have traditional takedowns, but he has nice body locks and trips and as soon as you hit the mat, he's working towards something. He is coming off the very bad knockout loss to Santiago Ponzinibbio
