I really wish I had more footage to work off or even a loss for Minev. Because everything I have seen so far has him looking like an absolute killer. But I don't know if that's because he is or because his opponents suck. For now I am going to assume it is a little A and a little B. I think it is safe to say he is incredibly dangerous and does have all the skills to be successful. It is also safe to say he hasn't fought anyone any good and this is a massive step up in competition. Without seeing Artur defend takedowns from a high level wrestler I would only be guessing as to his takedown defense and my guess is that he gets taken down in this fight. I actually think Artur is the far better striker, but Tommy is fast, clean powerful and had a full camp. Tommy is the pick and this could be a really fun fight.

Tommy Gantt

Tommy Gantt has not been fighting for many years, but he has many fights. He is 2 years removed from his professional debut and already has 11 fights. He is a long fast athletic guy who manages range well before committing to wrestling. His takedowns are impressive where he has great entries. He has a wide array of takedowns and has incredible control when he is on top and that comes from an incredible wrestling career that includes d1 All American honors and international accolades. He is a finisher but seems to have solid enough cardio to fight long.

Artur Minev

Artur Minev is a very well rounded prospect. He has fast power hands, clean wrestling and slick BJJ. He is young in his career and raw at times, but he has all the individual skills to be successful. He does a nice job transitioning from striking to wrestling and then between different submissions on the ground. He can head hunt a bit, but has enough power that when he connects you do get knocked out. He has ground and pound as well but relatively untested so far in his young MMA career
