Shamil Gaviev is an ugly mother fucker but he a better fighter than he is model. We haven't seen a ton of wrestling out of him in the UFC but it's there. He doesn;'t have a mustache for a reason. Normally someone with his unfortunate facial structure would grow a tremendous beard to mask the horror, but not him, he shaves the mustache to remind the world he can wrestle. The reason thats an important note is because he likely needs the wrestling here. Brando is too fluid and too athletic for Shamil to catch on the feet, so i am actually expecting him dive at a leg or two, basically the same way he beat Don'tale Mayes. The thing is though, that Brando isn't Don'tale. He has better hands, better grappling, is more athletic and at a better gym. I actually think this is a great spot for Brando here so he is the pick.

Shamil Gaziev

Shamil Gaziev is a large Dagatsani but instead of being a non stop wrestler, he is a very powerful striker who marches forward and lands big. He is physically pretty sloppy and you might get nauseous if you look at him too long, but that doesn't stop him from working in spinning attacks when you least expect it. He has very real power in his hands and a relaxed striking style. He has wrestling as well but the cardio has been inconsistent. He is coming off the KO loss to Waldo Cortes Acosta where he seemingly had him in trouble and got too aggressive

Brando Pericic

Brando Pericic is the a large athletic heavyweight who moves like a middle weight. He has professional kickboxing experience and like everyone else before him with kickboxing that lives on that side of the world, trains at City Kickboxing. He is relatively untested in MMA, but he obviously has high level striking with takedowns in the mix. The takedown defense is seemingly solid as well. He is coming off the quick slug fight KO win over Louie Sutherland.
