Themba will be the better striker here but in order for him to properly execute his style of striking, he needs to stay away and jab from the outside. I don't think Micallef gives him that space. I like Jonathan to crowd, get the takedowns and ride out a win. I actually think Micallef is a little overrated because his striking is borderline bad, but i do like the stylistic matchup and if we end up on the scorecards can we assume the judges will take care of their own unlike the Canadians?

Jonathan Micallef

Jonathan Micallef is an ok striker and a very good wrestler. Striking is basic with a solid 1-2 and some distance closing to get the takedowns. On the ground he has solid pressure and control. He is not particularly dangerous but can do a good job controlling the pace. He is coming off the submission win over Oban Elliott where he was a step behind in the striking but able to get it to the ground and sneak in a rear naked choke.

Themba Gorimbo

Themba Gorimbo is a distance striker who manages range well and picks his shots. He is long for the weight class and uses that length to keep you at bay. He is typically a counter striker but he will charge forward when he sees his openings. He has solid takedown defense where he widens his base and makes his opponents carry his weight. He also has solid offensive takedowns with 23 takedowns in 7 UFC fights. He is coming off the decision loss to Jeremiah Wells where he had 6 of his own takedowns but couldn't hang in the striking.
