This is an interesting fight because I have been high on both of these women in the UFC. They are very similar in style and execution. They are both very good strikers with decent grappling. They have also only real lost because of takedown defense and don't get out struck. I want to lean Norma here because I think she is the far cleaner striker but her takedown defense is worse than it should be and I fear she has MMA karma coming her way because of the decision over Ketlen. Joselyn does a really good job getting into the pocket and sneaking in a takedown, she also doesn't like pressure and when Norma gets her hands going, she can pour it on. I am going to lean Norma here, but this is a battle of the bottoms and if you're on the Norma side you're going to need her bottom to keep this fight standing.

Norma Dumont

Norma Dumont is a solid striker who is relaxed and patient in the cage. Her striking is technical and her takedown defense is sound. If you look at her strike differential she lands almost 4 significant strikes per minute and takes 2 in return. On top of her technical striking Norma also has solid grappling, her takedowns aren't great but she does have 17 takedowns in 11 UFC fights. She is coming off the insanely close decision over Ketlen Vieira where her striking looked fantastic but the takedown defense looked horrendous.

Joselyne Edwards

Joselyne Edwards is a good kickboxer who uses range well. She has a nice variety of strikes but does prefer to kick. She does a great job throwing in combinations and working your body. If you can get inside and make it a dirty fight you can have success but getting inside her range isn't the easiest thing to do. She is evolving as a fighter and not only tightened up her takedown defense but worked in offensive takedowns as well. She is coming off the submission win over Nora Cornolle where she looked bad early but a big slam broke Nora's shoulder which setup the choke.
