Jiri Prochazka vs. Carlos Ulberg Pick, Prediction and Bets

PROCHAZKA VS ULBERG

Technique wise, Carlos Ulberg is the better fighter. I don't even think thats something that can be debated. He is clearly the better striker, he has very good takedown defense and the handful of times he shot his own takedown he's looked good. He also has the longest active win streak in this division and his career loss was a flukey KO in a fight he was winning. I imagine that the people picking Carlos to win will cite his power and probably tell you that he can KO Jiri. And of course thats possible, but not probable. If you look at the people that Carlos has actually knocked out, they aren't great – some bum on the contender series that never fought in the UFC, Tafon Nchukwi who longer has a job, Nicolae Negemureanu who no longer has a job, Ihor Poteira who no longer has a job, Alonzo Menified who's been knocked out in his last 3 losses and Dominick Reyes who has no chin. Those KO's don't translate to a win over Jiri Prochazka. Neither does the technique. It doesn't matter how clean you are and how well you can manage range. Jiri will close the distance and make it ugly and inside the pocket, Jiri wins this fight 10 out of 10 times. Carlos in my opinion can only win if he stays mobile and stays on the outside which is a very hard thing to do for 25 minutes. Jiri will be the pick and maybe violence is the bet

Jiri Prochazka

Jiri Prochazka is the former Light Heavyweight champion of the world. He is incredibly fun to watch fight and always brings the fight. He is a dangerous striker with pretty much all of his 32 wins coming by stoppage. He has plenty of cardio, plenty of power, and outside of his fights with Alex, plenty of chin. The knock on Jiri is how hittable he is. He is hit with almost 6 significant strikes per minute which is an insanely high number. He trusts his chin so he has no issues standing in the pocket and taking one to give one. He is coming off the finish win over Khalil Rountree jr.

Carlos Ulberg

Carlos Ulberg is a world class kickboxer who transitioned to MMA. He is a big guy with incredible footwork and great range management. His stirking differential is an impressive 7 to 4 and he has an 85% takedown defense. His only MMA loss was a KO to Kennedy Nuchkwi in a fight that he was absolutely dominating. He is coming off the KO win over Dominick Reyes to extend the divisions longest win streak to 9.
