This fight, like every other Gamrot fight, comes down to whether or not he gets the takedowns, and if he does, do the judges care. The first part of that is easy, yes, Gamrot will get the takedowns. it's the second part that will be interesting. Ribovics is a dog and very good. He is lightyears ahead in the striking, has legit power and won't accept bottom position. The last time he fought a nonstop wrestler, he lost a decision to Loik Radhabov where he was taken down 11 times. But he knocked him down, stole a round did and this in 2023 when wrestling was more impactful to the judges. Gamrot is notoriously chinny and not dangerous enough to find his own finish i am going with the dog here and Esteban is the pick. If you're afraid of the +145 moneyline, wait a few days for the +3.5 which will almost certainly hit.
Mateusz Gamrot
Mateusz Gamrot is a busy wrestler with decent striking and a diverse set of attacks. He doesn't have incredible power on his feet, but he's busy and and pushes a pace. Gamrot can out wrestle pretty much everyone in the division with his relentless pace and non stop takedown attempts. Unfortunately he is very chinny, even though his striking technique is there, his chin is not. He has been dropped in 6 of his 12 UFC fights but did avoid being dropped by Charles Oliveira in his last fight, only the be subbed in the second round.
Esteban Ribovics
Esteban Ribovics is very good. He is an impressive striker with sneaky power. His strikes are tight, short and accurate. He has a high tight guard and works forward picking his shots. Despite his impressive knockout highlights, he isn't just a striker. He has nice takedowns and solid BJJ as well. He will shoot clean doubles or upper body trip to get you to the ground and then immediately look to snatch something up. He is coming off the decision win over Elves Brenner where he defended 9 takedowns.
