Price Point Picks: UFC Vegas 115

Best DraftKings Plays UFC Vegas 115

We are back to Vegas for UFC Fight Night Duncan vs Moicano, in what is kind of an odd matchup of guys who train together at ATT, and for the first time this year I think we have 4 women’s fights on the card mixed in with a few prospects making their debut or 2nd fight in the UFC. Overall it’s….an Apex card for sure, but with these fights you usually get the people who really try for a big finish to not only get a bonus that is 8X their salary for the fight, but create a viral clip to gain popularity and grow their brand.

For anyone who hasn’t read this article before, this series will be released every week on Thursday and will cover the slate by isolating the fighters that I like within the various salary groups. $9,000+ PRICE POINT

Abdul Rakhman Yakyhaev

Ribeiro is cheeks. Abdul will push the pace on the feet, look to avoid the takedowns if Ribeiro panic shoots after getting pieced up, and should knock Brendson out. He is a good young prospect who should come in and get a big win for us, but we will need it to be in the first round to pay off unless he gets one of those 2-3 knockdowns that lead into a ground and pound flurry TKO.

Azamat Bekoev

I don’t think Gore is very good, and Bekoev will be able to push the pace with 4 significant strikes per minute and 4.5 takedowns per fight here. He should score very well for us, as DK loves the wrestling aspect of DFS scoring, and if he can do work and find a finish in the first two rounds, or have a wrestle heavy approach to all three rounds, he can rack up the points for us.

Jose Delano

Will be looking for a big finish on the feet here as he is a striker who will outwork Ruchala on the feet pushing a near 10 significant strike per minute via 2 from Robert, who will look for takedowns to try and grind out a win that way. Delano via KO/TKO incoming.

$8,000 – $8,900 PRICE POINT

Chris Duncan

This should be a fun fight, but I feel like their career paths are on different trajectories. Duncan the surging fighter who is always in firefights and is amazing at finding finishes, against Moicano who will need to clip Duncan or get a takedown to elbow Chris to death. I like Duncan’s chances to beat the fellow ATT guy and find a finish in the middle rounds for a performance of the night win.

Alice Pereira

This 8K range is pretty meh, so I will take the 14 year younger fighter who will have a 4 inch reach advantage. This is not a fight I expect to score a ton, both fighters average 2.5 significant strikes per minute, but I will take Alice to get the W here.

Guilherme Pat

This fight is…well it at least should finish inside the distance. Peterson has gotten chinned in his recent losses, Pat will have a massive 5 inch height and 7 inch reach advantage here, so I think he will find a way to derail Thomas the Train here.

Under $8,000 PRICE POINT

Virna Jandiroba

I am 50/50 on this fight, on of them will score well in a win as I think we will see takedowns from each of them mixed in with sweeps and reversals. Virna will not want to stay standing to strike, and is coming off a loss for the vacant belt, so I will side with her on this one over Baby Shark.

Rafael Estevam

Ewing came in on short notice and beat the big up and coming prospect Wellmaker last time out, and now is priced crazy high. Estevam will wrestle the entire fight, so if he can get Lego head down and win the rounds and not gas out, I think he more than pays off his salary. 2 takedowns per round, not a ton of striking but that’s because he chain wrestled his heart out last fight.

Melissa Gatto

Gatto will have the advantage on the feet, will have a 3 inch reach advantage and basically will need to avoid being dragged down and controlled and she will have a good chance to win this. It should be a pretty dang close fight, so I will side with the dog here.
