This isn't the first time that Duncan has fought a teammate, he fought Mateusz Rebecki who was a direct training partner and that fight was absolute chaos. I kind of expect more of the same here. This fight is a little tricky because i am a know Chris Duncan underestimator. i thought Rebecki would beat him, i thought McKinney could be beat him and now here we are, he is a considerable favorite against another guy who I underestimate and fade. I picked against Moicano in his last fight because Moicano seemingly spent all of 2025 being rich and doing podcasts instead of training. But he has been notably pretty quiet on social media leading up to this fight. I think he understands that a 3rd loss in a row is pretty much the end of the money Moicano schtick and I do think that should be considered here. I think Moicano is the better fighter. He is certainly the better grappler, has solid striking and lightyears more high level experience. But Chris Duncan is not normal, this guy takes abuse and keeps coming. He has no quit in him whatsoever and at this point in their careers, I do think Chris can win. His relentless pace and pressure might be too much for an aging Moicano who was never dangerous on the feet and certainly, with all their training together, Duncan will be prepared for everythign on the ground. Duncan is the pick and I am teetering on the edge of an actual bet.
Renato Moicano
Renato Moicano is a high level BJJ blackbelt who is also is a technical striker. He doesn't have stoppage power but does have nice volume and a good pace. His chin is a bit shaky, but he is very tough and very skilled. He averages almost 2 takedowns per fight with a 41% accuracy but doesn't have the cleanest takedowns and usually ends up clinching or dragging to the ground. He is coming the sloppy loss to Beniel Dariush where he dropped him early but then decided to wrestle like an idiot.
Chris Duncan
Chris Duncan is a heavy handed tough as nails striker who is never out of a fight. We have seen him on more than once occasion be dropped just to recover and win. Style wise he is an accurate striker with low hands, lots of power and a willingness to bang. He will grapple as well, he has 15 takedowns in 8 fights but can struggle with takedown defense. He is coming off his 4th finish win in a row, this time over terrance McKinney.
