While Robert Ruchala didn't get the win in his UFC debut, he did show us how insanely tough he can be and how he is not afraid to engage. He moved forward, threw heavy, attempted takedowns and was never overwhelmed by the moment. I mention this because while I am picking Delano and think Delano is a much better fighter, I fully recognize that Robert's pressure and willingness to engage could be a bit frustrating on the other side. Jose's foot work should keep him at proper range so he'll have enough time to defend takedowns and he is certainly the better striker. He;s going to be the pick here, but -400 can get weird fast.
Robert Ruchala
Robert Ruchala is a fun athletic striker who will jump, spin, kick, wrestle and attack from all angles. He is a well rounded guy with fantastic pressure and a wide variety of attacks. He can be hittable, but is pretty durable. When he shoots takedowns he runs forward, when he strikes he throws in intent. He is fun to watch and willing to take risks. He is coming off a decision loss to WIlliam Gomis in his UFC debut where he wasn't afraid to engage and made it very gritty.
Jose Delano
Jose Delano is an aggresive striker who does a great job staying in position. He never over extends, he always has a tight guard and he manages to keep everything while still being very aggressive. He is very light on his feet which keeps him out of trouble and allows him to cut angles well. He has decent takedowns and decent takedown defense. Overall he is a very well rounded guy who also has a handful of 5 round decision wins so you know you can trust his cardio.
