I think we all need to be done with Bruna at this point. She has flashes of excellence but her refusal to fully engage and her cowering away from strikes is not going to do her any favors in a matchup like this. Alexia will come forward, bomb away and engage immediately. Bruna will try to stay away but it literally won't be possible. Alexa likely leans on her wrestling here as well so takedown props will be solid. Alexia is the confident pick and I probably have action from moneyline, round line and takedown props.
Alexia Thianara
Alexia Thainara is a forward pressure striker who literally marches forward with her chin the sky. You will almost never see her take a step back. She does alternate between robocop forward pressure and light on her toes movements, but ultimately she is throwing big and trying to get you out of there. if she cannot get you out, she moves into grappling where she has big takedowns and heavy top pressure. She is coming off the decision win over Loma Lookboonmee where she had 5 takedowns and 10 minutes of control
Bruna Brasil
Bruna Brasil is a solid striker who is clean, accurate but hesitant. She has takedowns as well but they aren't great, they are very BJJ-esque meaning she shoots by bending at the waist and then finishes with a trip instead of running through it. Her BJJ is solid, but her striking is where she shines. The problem though is that her striking defense isn't great and she can be low volume. She is a weird fighter to breakdown because she has all the skills, but always seems to fall short when it matters most. She is coming off the decision loss to Ketlen Souza where the offense was clean, fast and accurate, but she hated getting hit so much that she literally ran away.
