This is an unfortunate matchup for Chris. The guy goes down to welterweight to reinvent himself and rejuvenate his career. He gets a fantastic win over a tough opponent and then immediately thrown to the wolves. Or in this case, the Sabre Tooth Tigers (great joke, please pause to appreciate). I just don't see Chris Curtis winning this fight. I opened this by saying “at one point he had the highest takedown defense in the division”, that one point was before Brendan Allen. I think Myktykbek does more of the same. He can get whatever takedowns he wants and should cruise to a decision win.

Chris Curtis

Chris Curtis is a clean counter striker who at one point had the highest takedown defense in the middleweight division. He has solid power in his hands and it comes from clean short punches which catch people off guard. He works in nice leg kicks and will touch up the body as well. He takes his time with his shots but is always moving his body to stay out of the way or to set something up. He is coming off a win over Max Griffin at Welterweight.

Myktybek Orolbai

Myktybek (Moto-Bek) Orolbai is a fun grappler who will entertain the striking before fully committing to wrestling. His wrestling and grappling pressure is non-stop. He has plenty of cardio, plenty of power, a good chin and can set a pace. The striking has been improving and we have seen what a dog he can be. He is coming off the quick KO win over Jack Hermansson
