The pick is Ailin and I think it is as simple as getting takedowns and camping out. Macy is good everywhere and tricky to deal with, but BJJ off your back is very different than on top. Ailin isn't a great striker but we saw what forward pressure and volume can do in her last fight. That exact same gameplan here gets the win so Ailin is the pick and the gooners should get a nice twerk out of it.
Macy Chiasson
Macy Chiasson is tall and long and she uses that length really well to jab you up and work her Muay Thai striking. She has a positive striking differential and and solid takedown defense, but both of those have failed against higher levels of competition. If you get past her length you can have success staying in her face. But when she can keep distance she is very good and technical. She has added grappling to her gameplan which has proven to be beneficial with 14 takedowns in her last 6 fights. She is coming off the decision loss to Yana Santos where she had a handful of takedowns, but couldn't keep up with the striking.
Ailin Perez
Ailin Perez is a forward pressure wrestler. She is mostly a grappler but when she is striking she has a nice long jab and uses it to plot forward and walk her opponents back. She uses her size and strength to bully her opponents to the ground with trips and drags. Once she hits the ground she has great control and unrelenting pressure. She is coming off the decision win over Karol Rosa where she failed 6 takedown attempts but made up for it with pressure.
