This could be a really fun matchup that goes a couple different ways. Because Michel Pereira is a very good fighter and Zach Reese is not. But ever since Michel's wife went ballistic on social media, he has been a shell of himself. getting brutally KOd by a short notice Kyle Daukaus might be a career low. Zach Reese has that same power and then some. But Zach also isn't fast, isn't athletic, and can be a full blown BJJ nerd. If the Michel Pereira from 2024 shows up then Zach is about as unconscious as he was vs Azamat. But if he shows up uninterested and a shell of himself then Zach somehow beats a ranked fighter. My gut is saying go with Zach Reese because Michel Pereira is full blown washed, but my brain is watching the footage of Michel and Strickland train and it's telling me there is no one anywhere near Reese training like that. Michel is the pick, keep a lookout for a newer video because that pick might flip.

Zach Reese

Zachary Reese is a massive guy for middleweight at 6'4 and he uses all that size and strength in his fights. He is very well rounded but mostly a powerful striker. He can wrestle as well but is a bit inconsistent with when he uses it. On the ground he has great BJJ from top and bottom where he uses his length well to wrap you up but he does get a bit too comfortable at times and can give up minutes playing the jiu jitsu game off his back. He is coming off the submission win over Jackson McVey where he didn't have the striking volume, but did have the takedowns.

Michel Pereira

Michel Peireira is an absolute beast with insane athletecism, real power and a side chick. Even though he has 45 professional fights, he is only 32 years old and has plenty of career ahead of him. He has powerful hands, solid wrestling, solid BJJ and incredible power. He's good at everything offensively, but is a better hammer than nail. He is coming off the Kyle Daukaus which has us questioning his entire career.
