This should be an easy Bruna pick and I am going to do that, but she does worry me a little bit. She's kind of lost who she is. We went to Fighting Nerds and is trying to be a distance pitter patter striker instead of a creative power striker and at the Apex if she plans on dancing around the outside while Ketlen runs forward bombing, she might lose a decision. The UFC obviously wants Bruna to do well, they even sent her over to the road to the UFC to find a win. I think she is the better fighter, so she's the pick. We just need her to engage and not back up.

Bruna Brasil

Bruna Brasil is a solid striker who is creative on her feet and throws everything from superman punches to spinning back kicks. She has takedowns as well but they aren't great, they are very BJJ-esque meaning she shoots by bending at the waist and then finishes with a trip instead of running through it. Her BJJ is solid, but her striking is where she shines. The problem though is that her striking defense isn't great and she can be low volume. She has had a weird evolution where she started as raw and powerful but the more she trains with the fighting nerds the cleaner her striking gets, but she has also lost her power and aggression.

Ketlen Souza

Ketlen Souza is a pressure fighter with very heavy strikes and an occasional takedown. Everything she does is heavy. She throws big kicks, big punches, she will crush with elbows and is always looking to do damage. She is a very solid grappler when it gets to the ground but she does rely on strength instead of technique to get it there. She is coming off the decision loss to Piera Rodrigues where she was taken down 7 times.
