Kennedy Nzechukwu vs. Marcus Buchecha

NZECHUKWU VS BUCHECHA

On the surface this fight doesn't mean much, but i disagree. This fight matters and essentially determines which of these fighters actually has the potential for a career and which one likely doesn't make it through 2026. Kennedy is absolutely the better striker and very dangerous, Martin is clearly a grappler who needs to get this to the ground. I am going with the grappler here because even though the striking gap is incredibly wide, I trust Marcus to not be a guard pulling nerd. He will fire away and continue looking for takedowns. I think he eventually gets them and has success on the ground so Marcus is the pick and maybe we get lucky with a 1.5 round line here.

Kennedy Nzechukwu

Kennedy Nzechukwu is a long, powerful guy with solid takedown defense. He can be gun shy at times but when he does throw, he is very powerful. He is typically a pretty durable guy but somewhat unreliable. This is his fourth fight at heavyweight and the weight class does seem to be suiting him but he is coming off the first round heel hook loss to Valter Walker where he was rocked and taken down by the worst attempt in history.

Marcus Buchecha

Marcus Buchecha is a BJJ nightmare. He is a heavyweight who can grapple like someone much smaller both off his back and on top. His striking isn't very good but he is big and carries some power. Being that he needs fights to get to the ground to win, he does shoot a lot of takedowns. Some are better than others, but he is pretty relentless with the attempts. He has a solid chin and a willingness to engage, but he is closer to a one dimensional BJJ nerd than he is a complete MMA fighter. He is coming off a decision loss to Martin Buday where he was sloppy, but tough.
