There's a lot of people who pick fights based off of looks. For example, when you watch a lady fight, more often than not the one who looks like a 1980s gym teacher will win the fight. You could apply the same logic here. The guy who looks like the Slimer from Ghostbusters will win this fight. The pick isn't just because he won't be winning Dagastani's Top Model, the pick is because he is the much better striker and a more than capable wrestler/grappler. This is an unfortunate skid for Spivac because i do think this loss will look pretty bad and he will be diving at legs unsuccessfully.
Serghei Spivac
Sergey Spivac is a heavyweight grappler who has great ground and pound with solid takedowns. He has an ok submission game and is a capable striker. He doesn't have KO power but he does have a decent jab and solid volume. His biggest issue is control. The reason he averages more than 4 takedowns per fight is because people are standing up on him. He is coming off the loss to Waldo Cortes Acosta where he had two takedowns but his strikes were almost tripled.
Shamil Gaziev
Shamil Gaziev is a large Dagatsani but instead of being a non stop wrestler, he is a very powerful striker who marches forward and lands big. He is physically pretty sloppy and you might get nauseous if you look at him too long, but that doesn't stop him from working in spinning attacks when you least expect it. He has very real power in his hands and a relaxed striking style. He has wrestling as well but the cardio has been inconsistent. He is coming off the KO win over Thomas Petersen where he was taken down but landed a huge straight punch.
