This is a tricky fight to break down because i do not think Ryan Loder is very good and likely not UFC level, but I'm not convinced Naurdiev is either. He's a bit undersized and if Ryan wants to bully, he likely can. I am going to pick Ismael because I think his striking volume will get Ryan to panic wrestle and panic wrestling shots tend to be from farther out so Naurdiev should be able to defend and then win the minutes through striking. This is not a fight to bet on though so I will just watch and enjoy.
Ryan Loder
Ryan Loder is a division 1 wrestler and the ultimate fighter champion. In the octagon he is a cautious wrestler who walks forward gauging distance, gets you to back up and then goes all in on the wrestling. He doesn't throw a ton of strikes offensively, but what he will do is plot forward and wait for you to commit to something, as soon you do he will rush forward with an actual takedown attempt or push you against the cage and then work. On the ground he has great control and isn't really looking to finish. He is coming off the KO loss to Azamat Bekoev
Ismail Naurdiev
Ismail Naurdiev is an aggressive striker and solid grappler. He has competed as a kickboxer and a wrestler but for some reason seems to struggle putting it all together inside a cage. He's had a couple of stints in the UFC with his first being from 2019 to 2020 and his most recent one just kicked off last year with a win over Bruno Silva. He bounces between welterweight and middleweight and seems to have more success at the higher weight class. He is coming off the decision loss to Jung Yong park where he was fast and busy but did give up 2 points to an illegal knee.
