I'm want to be very clear here, Cody Haddon IS NOT Kris Mountinho. He's actually a solid fighter. He was able to defend 20 of Dan Argueta;s takedowns, get 2 of his own and land almost 100 more strikes. He is a solid prospect. I have no frame of reference here to justify betting on whatever Wellmaker's outrageous price tag will be but I have to assume that power and athleticism can get him through this fight. He will be the low confidence pick here, but if this win looks like his last few, then he really is the real deal.
Malcolm Wellmaker
Malcolm Wellmaker is a powerful striker with great accuracy and timing. He does a really nice job managing range with a solid jab and then firing away. He's not overly aggressive but does well fully committing when he throws and countering when people come at him. He can also grapple with solid takedowns and even better takedown defense. Coming off the KO win over human punching bag Kris Moutinho
Cody Haddon
Cody Haddon is a solid prospect who's lone loss comes to former title challenger Steve Erceg. Cody is a busy fighter who sets an insane pace and doesn't slow down. He has clean boxing where he throws in combinations and does a great job working the body. He's also a slick grappler who is busy on top and bottom. If he is on top he's raining down strikes, if he is on bottom, he is creating scrambles and working his way so his opponents cant settle. He is coming off the decision win over Dan Argueta where his combinations looked good and he stayed composed.
